COVID-19 UPDATE: 2020 Hooked on Hoops Basketball Camps are being held! 

Registration through the Carroll County Department of Recreation & Parks can be completed online at:

The camp sessions scheduled in July 2020 will occur in accordance with the North Carroll Recreation Council and Carroll County Department of Recreation & Parks COVID-19 policies. First and foremost, the Hooked-on Hoops COVID-19 plan will focus on and account for the safety of campers and staff. 

The June 2020 Offensive Clinic session has been rescheduled to August 12-14 (Wednesday through Friday).  Payments for the June Offensive Clinic session have been refunded. The website and registration will be updated once the August date for the Offensive AM Clinic has been determined

2020 Basketball Camp

Sponsored by North Carroll Recreation Council (NCRC), 

The 13th Annual Hooked on Hoops Basketball Camps for boys and girls ages 5-14 (rising Kindergarten through rising 9th grade) will be held this summer at the North Carroll High School gym. Directed by Coach Heather Wable DeWees, who played Women’s Basketball at Mount Saint Mary’s University, was inducted into the MSM Athletic Hall of Fame, and was named Carroll County Girls’ Basketball Coach of the Year 2016 and 2017 (including an 107-37 record for Manchester Valley Girls Varsity Basketball over the last 6 years), the camps will focus on instruction of fundamentals of the game, drills players can do on their own to improve, and scrimmage scenarios to improve team play.

Some topics to be covered include:

The goals of each session are to increase an individual basketball player's overall skill set, mental preparation for play and understanding of team concepts. The staff consists of experienced high school coaches, current & former college basketball players and current high school players. 

Camp size is limited. Please register early.
